How Our Services Are Structured

Project and shoot types explained

Updated over 2 weeks ago

At Squareshot, every order follows a clear structure. This guide explains how those layers work together, so you can confidently choose the right setup for your project.

Services structure

The diagram below shows how Squareshot services are structured: you first choose a service type, then a project type, which determines the pricing model.

Product shoot

Product shoots focus on clean, consistent visuals of your items. You can organize your project by image or by the hour, depending on your needs.

Per-image projects

Per-image projects are ideal for clients who want a hands-off experience. You provide the products and a shot list, and we take care of the rest — you do not need to be present during the shoot.

  • Pay per image

  • Just ship the products and approve the shot list

  • No shoot attendance is needed

Per-hour projects

Per-hour shoots are best for clients who want to collaborate in real time — either remotely or in-studio. These projects offer more flexibility and don’t require a detailed shot list upfront. However, we do ask for a few basic details about your product and quantities to recommend the right number of hours for your shoot.

  • Pay per hour

  • Join remotely or in person (in-studio)

  • Great for creative, high-touch productions

Head over to our Pricing page and choose the duration of the shoot. You will also see what's included as final deliverables for those options.

Shoot types for product projects

  • Product: Your item is photographed on a white or colored background to highlight the design and features without models. Props may be used as a part of the product photoshoot.

  • Swatch: Close-up shots that capture the texture, finish, or color of beauty and skincare products.

  • Flat Lay / Pinned: For a clean, editorial look, clothing is laid flat or pinned to a surface and photographed from above.

  • Ghost Mannequin: Apparel is styled on an invisible mannequin to give it a 3D, natural fit without showing a model.

Model shoot

Model shoots focus on showing your products worn or used by a person to highlight fit, scale, and movement. You can organize your project by image or by the hour:

  • Per-image model projects offer more predictability and are best when there is a fixed shot list with defined outfits and poses.

  • Per-hour model projects allow for live collaboration and work best when poses, styling, or creative direction need to be explored on set.

Please note that per-image model projects require on-shoot approval. Learn more about it here.

AI services

AI services help you scale visual output using your real product photos — without reshoots. We use AI for models, scenes, and backgrounds, and apply human taste, judgment, and quality control so the results are campaign-ready and safe to use.

Available project types:

  1. Per-image: Designed for single, tactical outputs. Generated and delivered one image at a time based on direction created by you.

  2. AI campaign: Designed for cohesive, multi-channel visuals. A structured set of AI-generated images built around one visual direction created by Squareshot.

In both cases, the product always stays real — AI is used to expand creative range and capabilities.

Visual Concept

Visual Concept helps you define what your campaign should look like before production starts. It turns your goals into a clear creative direction that can guide product shoots, model shoots, or AI visuals — so execution isn’t guesswork.

You receive a production-ready visual concept, delivered as a PDF.

It includes:

  • Hours of research about your brand, audience, and goals compressed into one clear, production-ready campaign idea.

  • Art-directed moodboards (vibe + tactical)

  • A clear production plan outlining what to shoot and why

This is the exact document used to guide a real shoot — not a moodboard dump or abstract strategy.
