Troubleshooting Deliveries

Updated this week

Delivery issues are never fun, but they do happen. Whether it's a simple delay or a package that seems to have vanished into thin air, we've seen it all — and we’re here to help you navigate it. This article covers what to do when a shipment is marked as “delivered” but you haven’t received a confirmation from us, and how we approach these situations on our end.

When Do We Acknowledge a Delivery?

Squareshot is responsible for any items that have physically arrived at our studio and have been checked in by our team. Once we receive a package, we inspect the contents, compare them with your order, and reach out if we notice any inconsistencies before issuing your invoice.

So, if you’ve received an email from us confirming delivery or discussing your invoice, your package is officially in our hands.
If you haven’t received any confirmation from us, that means the package hasn’t been logged — and we don’t have it yet.

Didn't Get a Delivery Update?

If your tracking says “Delivered”, but we haven’t reached out to confirm, it might not mean something is wrong — yet. Here are the most common explanations:

1. We Haven’t Processed It Yet

We check in deliveries during set windows each business day. If your package arrived outside those times, it will be logged the next business day.

2. The Carrier Marked It as Delivered Early

Some shipping services preemptively mark packages as delivered before they’re actually dropped off. We’ve seen cases where the delivery doesn’t occur until a full day later.

3. The Delivery Was Misrouted or Failed

Packages don’t always end up where they should. Even the most reliable carriers occasionally make mistakes — and sometimes those mistakes aren’t corrected right away.

We’ve helped locate many missing deliveries, and over time we’ve noticed a pattern. Here are some of the most common places we've recovered misplaced packages:

  • The building mailroom

  • The building manager’s office

  • A neighboring tenant in the same building

  • A completely different building

  • Still sitting in the driver’s truck

In several cases, we've had packages magically reappear days later — often without any notice from the carrier. Sometimes, even after an investigation is opened, the carrier quietly delivers the package without acknowledging the delay.

What to Do If We Haven’t Confirmed Delivery

If you haven’t already, the most helpful thing you can do is:

  • Share the tracking number with us (if you haven’t yet)
This lets us start checking the usual misdelivery locations and escalate with the shipping provider.

From there, we’ll:

  1. Search the areas where misdeliveries typically occur

  2. Reach out to the building manager or neighbors if needed

  3. Open an investigation with the carrier

While we’ll do everything we can to help, please note that until a package has been physically received by our team, we cannot be held responsible for it.

What If the Package Is Officially Lost?

Sometimes, despite everyone’s best efforts, a delivery goes missing entirely. While we’re happy to support you in tracking it down, any formal claims or compensation must be handled directly with the shipping service you selected.

How to Minimize Delivery Risks

  • Use a trusted carrier like UPS (they deliver directly to our studios and tend to be the most reliable).

  • Avoid using USPS, which has a higher rate of misdeliveries and untraceable packages.

  • Insure your shipment to protect its value in case of loss or damage.

  • Double-check the delivery address before shipping, especially for the correct studio location.

  • Add your tracking number to the Client Portal — this helps us keep an eye on any delays.

If your package is marked as delivered and you haven’t heard from us within 1 business day — or if you’re worried about a potential misdelivery — reach out right away:

  • Email us at [email protected]

  • Give us a call at 855-577-1375 and choose the studio of your project

We’ll do everything we can to help locate the shipment and get your project back on track.
