Squareshot Model Usage Rights Policy

Squareshot retains full copyright and intellectual property rights for all images our team produces. By purchasing model images or paying for a model shoot, you get the following usage rights from Squareshot depending on the project & model types:

Model type

The model type determines the duration of usage rights:

  • Recognizable models*: Includes 6 months of usage rights at no extra cost. You can extend beyond that for an additional fee.

  • Unrecognizable models**: Usage rights are unrestricted, just like our standard product images described here.

*Any model whose face is fully or partially visible in the images

**Any model whose face isn't visible in the images either fully or partially

Project type

Your project type determines what’s included in your final files:

  • Per-image project: You receive retouched model images based on the number of images ordered.

  • Per-hour projects: You receive retouched model images plus all raw shots from the shoot.

You are responsible for negotiating usage rights with non-Squareshot models.

Model Usage Rights Extension

Usage rights restrictions apply to all recognizable models, meaning any model whose face is visible in the images. We include 6 months of usage rights at no additional cost. If you need to extend these rights beyond the initial period, you can do so for an additional fee:
